South Landing Inn, circa 1827, features the quiet, unspoiled charm of a country inn situated in the quaint, historical village of Queenston.
Nestled in one of Canada’s most popular tourist destinations, we are surrounded by history, and situated right in between Niagara Falls and Old Town Niagara-on-the-Lake. Fine and casual dining, music, performing arts, cycling, nature trails, fishing, golfing, and vineyards and wine tours are all within minutes.
The South Landing Inn was built in the early 1800’s by Thomas Dickson to accommodate many travellers on the route around the mighty falls of Niagara. Queenston then boasted thirteen inns and taverns of which only South Landing Inn remains today.
The Inn is lovingly cared for by Innkeepers Tyler & Laura Purvis, and is undergoing some gentle renovations from the original renovations in 1982.
Our charming village of Queenston breathes an atmosphere of history and romance. Enjoy walking among elegant, historic homes and buildings, still standing today as fine examples of early 19th century architecture.
The history of the area revolves around the War of 1812 and there are several historic sites to visit in Queenston and all are within walking distance of South Landing Inn.
